Light illuminating what I paint interests me more than the objects themselves. My compositions are responses to how varying keys of light or “worlds” of light divide space and create very different moods. Organic forms beside hard-edged architectural forms are characteristic in the subjects I paint and in the varied quality of marks I use to express the subject. Something that can be interpreted in multiple ways inspires me most.
